01 Six cities, one final

The 2027 IHF Men's World Championship runs from 13 to 31 January across Munich, Stuttgart, Kiel, Magdeburg, Hanover and Cologne. The final is in Cologne on 31 January.

The hosts open their group in Munich. Germany last won the title at home in 2007, beating Poland 29–24 in the final.

02 The Danish problem

Denmark have won the last four world titles: 2019, 2021, 2023 and 2025. No men's team had won even three in a row in the modern era before them.

The record for most titles still belongs to France, with six. A Danish win in Cologne would put them one behind.

03 Who could stop them

Croatia, beaten finalists in 2025, and France, runners-up in 2023, have come closest. Germany have home crowds on their side.

Make your pick in the Predictions League before the throw-off. It's scored automatically when the final result goes in.
